“Flower Girl” Press Release

For a florist who has had consistent bad luck with men, it’s about time everything started coming up roses. Five-time Emmy® and Golden Globe nominee Marion Ross (“Happy Days,” “Brooklyn Bridge”) and Marla Sokoloff (“The Practice”) star in “Flower Girl,” a Hallmark Channel Original Movie premiering Saturday, November 14 (9p.m. ET/PT, 8C). Kieren Hutchison (“Wildfire”), Brook Kerr (“Passions”) and Terry Maratos (“Drived”) co-star in the romantic comedy, which shows finding true love isn’t reserved for fiction and fairytales. The film encores on Saturday, November 14 (11p.m. ET/PT, 10C), Sunday, November 15 (1a.m. ET/PT, 12C) and (9p.m. ET/PT, 8C).

Florist Laurel Haverford (Sokoloff) is beginning to doubt she’ll ever meet the man who will ride up on horseback and sweep her off her feet. Her grandmother, Rose Durham (Ross), on the other hand, hasn’t given up hope, and continues to try, however unsuccessfully, to fix Laurel up with the perfect man. Her best friend, Brooke (Kerr), thinks Laurel is just attracted to ‘red flag’ men, ones who give subtle hints that they aren’t looking to settle down. Then, by chance, two different men are both actively interested in Laurel – the charming Dr. Evan Cooper (Maratos) and the mysterious writer Stephen Banks (Hutchison). Laurel knows she can’t date both forever, and must decide if she can afford to wait any longer for Mister Right or if she should get married to someone she isn’t in love with just for the sake of settling down.
